Air Fryer Honey Chicken

Crispy, sticky, better-than-takeout honey chicken. No deep frying, no heavy batter, fraction of the calories. 230 cal / 35g protein per serving.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp cold water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Cut chicken into 1-inch bite-size pieces
- 2. Toss chicken with 3 tbsp cornstarch, salt, and pepper until coated
- 3. Arrange in air fryer basket in single layer - don't crowd
- 4. Spray with cooking spray
- 5. Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 min, flip at 6 min
- 6. While chicken cooks, whisk honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat
- 7. Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp cold water, pour into saucepan
- 8. Stir until sauce thickens, 3-5 min
- 9. Toss crispy chicken in sauce
- 10. Top with sesame seeds and serve
